      Course Overview

      A successful excavation depends on the eyes and ears of the Marshall. This course is designed for individuals responsible for overseeing excavation tasks, ensuring they are conversant with Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Permits to Work.

       

       

      Candidates will learn the technical aspects of identifying different types of underground services and the safe digging practices required when working near them. The training focuses on safe positioning for the Marshall, agreeing on clear communication signals with the operator, and conducting thorough exploratory tasks to verify service locations.

       

       

      What You Will Learn

      Upon successful completion, candidates will be competent in:

        Novice Duration: 1 Day.

         

         

      •  

        Class Ratio: Maximum 3 Learners : 1 Instructor.

         

         

      •  

        Experienced Worker Tests (EWT): Available for up to 6 candidates in a single day.

         

         

      Testing & Certification

      Candidates must pass a theoretical multiple-choice exam and a practical assessment demonstrating safe positioning, effective communication, and the implementation of safe digging practices during an excavation task.

       

      Upon successful completion, candidates will receive an NPORS card and certificate endorsing them for Excavation Marshall - Banksperson (N027).
