Powered Handheld Breaker
➢ Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their
responsibilities as an operative
➢ Have a working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the particular equipment to be used
➢ Legislative requirements – have a basic understanding of responsibilities as required by UK health and safety legislation and guidance
➢ Plan for excavation work
➢ Prepare powered handheld breakers for use
➢ Operate powered handheld breakers
➢ Shut down and carry out post-stop checks on powered handheld breakers
